A fork for forking

Ok... so we're gonna brag a bit here.....

^^ We started out with little squares of cheese, those stayed on the fork really well... and since she continued to work at the strawberries I decided to run get the camera (No wonder the Momma is always the last one done eating). You can tell we were praising her with every successful stab :-)

Rhea amazes us almost every day with how much she is picking up on.... watering flowers, helping peel potatoes, asking to go next door or across the yard, I just can't get over it!! We are two VERY blessed parents!!

I can't exactly remember why Rhea was on the couch this particular morning (generally our first destination is the kitchen) but she found her snack container from the night before....

Yogurt! This is what we really eat for breakfast!
And she is doing GREAT using her own spoon!

And some cheerios and banana :-)

A final visit to St. Louis!

A whirlwind of a trip! We traveled to St. Louis, Mo. to visit Grandpa and Grandma there one last time. Grandpa Bill received his assignment to serve his year of vicarage on his path to being a Pastor. The cat is already out of the bag, they are headed to Amherst, Ne which is about 15 miles northwest of Kearney, Ne.

I wanted to compile and post some pictures from our trip; I only had 200 to choose from, crazy camera lady that I am.  (They scroll fairly quickly in the slideshow but you can click on the slideshow itself to view the pictures at your own speed if you'd like.)

Matt and Jordan came to our house Sunday afternoon and we headed out from there. Matt drove, Jordan navigated, and I entertained Rhea. Monday we visited the place where Grandma has been working down there... My Daddy's Cheesecake. Then Grandpa had class so we went to the zoo! Monday evening The Great Grandparents and Aunt Karen arrived and we celebrated Mommy's birthday. Grandma made a cake of course and Grandpa grilled some super yummy steaks for supper. Tuesday afternoon was the service where the announcement was made, then we just relaxed and hung out in the evening. Wednesday morning we started to make our way back to Ne, and we had to stop at Chic-Fil-A in St. Joseph!!

Overall it was a very nice trip! Rhea traveled well but we missed Daddy. Now Grandma will only be 3 hrs away so that's much more manageable! We're very proud of Grandpa! Rhea did start saying Grandma and Grandpa this week also (Wamma and Papa).
